How to Consign With Us
Follow these 8 easy steps.
Consigning With Us
Consignment is a partnership. You bring us your gently used items. We review and select items that we believe will sell in our store. Once an item sells, you receive a percentage of the final selling price. We handle all the marketing, sales, and customer service.
We accept high-quality women's clothing, footwear, bags, jewelry, accessories, and maternity clothing that are in excellent condition. We focus on current styles (typically less than 2-3 years old), but we also consider classic and vintage designer pieces. Please check the section "Brands We Love" for a list of what we are currently accepting.
Yes, we operate by appointment only to ensure we can give your items the attention they deserve. You can book an appointment by calling or texting us at (704) 834-0809.
Our standard consignment period is 60 days. This gives your items a chance to sell. We have a markdown schedule to help items sell more quickly over time.
You will receive 40% of the final selling price. Once an item sells, the funds are credited to your consignor account. You can choose between check, PayPal, or store credit. Check and PayPal payments require 72 hours for processing. You must pick up checks in person with a valid photo ID.
Consignor Policies
- Consignors must schedule an appointment to deliver items.
Please call or text us at (704) 834-0809. - Please bring no more than 30 items to your appointment.
- Prior to your appointment, please inspect all items for potential flaws, such as holes, stains, piling, fading, tears, frayed linings, rips, missing or broken buttons or fasteners, and broken zippers.
- Please ensure that each item is clean or dry-cleaned, odor- and smoke-free, pressed, on a hanger, and is ready to go on the sales floor.
- We do not accept clothing in bags or in wrinkled condition.
- During your appointment, we will inspect up to 30 items. We will return to you, along with your hangers, any item we cannot consign.
- We do not accept out-of-season items.
- We have the right to pull items and donate them, if we notice that they are torn, have missing buttons, or are stained, even after our initial inspection.
- We reserve the right to decline any additional consignment items at any time. It is important that we do not overcrowd the sales floor, as it deters shoppers.
- We accept items for 60 days. It is the consignor's responsibility to know when items expire. Before the end of the 60 days, please pick up any unsold items, otherwise we will donate them to a local charity.
- Each consignor must contact the store for the status of their merchandise.
- We reserve the right to determine prices and offer discounts at any time without consulting the consignor.
- Consignors will receive 40% of the final selling price of the merchandise. Consignors can choose between check, PayPal, or store credit. Check and PayPal payments require 72 hours for processing. Checks must be picked up in person by the consignor with a valid photo ID.
- We make every effort to merchandise, market, sell, and care for all items consigned. However, all items are left at the owner’s risk. We are not responsible for loss by theft, fire, water, negligence in handling, or any other damage.
- At the end of the consignment period, you may locate and collect any unsold items at our store. If you give us 48 hours notice, we will be glad to retrieve your items for you and hold them for up to 7 days.
- After 60 days, all unsold or unclaimed items become the property of Rise Up Consignments LLC and will be donated to a local charity.
